Has Green Politics Put the US Power Grid on the Brink of Disaster?

Nearly 200 people died when millions lost power when the Texas power grid failed during February’s record-breaking cold snap. A major cause of the grid’s failure was overdependence—demanded by government policy—on “renewable” energy from wind and solar. The results would be many times worse if the same thing happened to one of the three major power grids covering the rest of the 48 contiguous states. The Heartland Institute’s H. Sterling Burnett joins us to discuss his recently published article “US Power Grid a Government-induced Tipping Point.” Tune in, and afterward let your elected officials know what policies you think should govern the grid that serves you and your neighbors!
