Nearly 200 people died when millions lost power when the Texas power grid failed during February’s record-breaking cold snap. A major cause of the grid’s failure was overdependence—demanded by government policy—on “renewable” energy from wind and solar. The results would be many times worse if the same thing happened to one of the three major power grids covering the rest of the 48 contiguous states. The Heartland Institute’s H.
