Trump's Day
Trump’s Day
In the middle of negotiating deals with Canada and Mexico, President Trump signed more executive orders yesterday and was making preparations for his first White House meeting with a foreign leader, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He was putting out statements on a variety of events happening in Washington to make sure people understood what he was doing and why.
Trump also welcomed the National Hockey League champions to the White House, where he cracked jokes with players and went into detail about the playoffs.
And the president is still working on getting his nominees confirmed. Yesterday, Sen. Susan Collins, who is unreliable on a good day, announced she was supporting Tulsi Gabbard. Why do I think there was a phone call with Sen. Collins yesterday that may not show up on the president’s official schedule?
It’s unbelievable what Donald Trump packs into one day!
Trump gives new meaning to the word “multitasking.” People bemoan that he only has two years before the midterm congressional elections. But he uses 20 hours in each day! So, in “Trump Time” he’s got about six years.
And speaking of Trump’s nominees, the nominations of Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., were successfully voted out of key Senate committees today. Their nominations are now headed for final confirmation votes on the Senate floor.
