Trump Was Right
An exclusive investigation by the Washington Post "shockingly" concluded that Chinese technology giant Huawei really is an integral part of the communist Chinese surveillance state. The Post reviewed thousands of documents and PowerPoint presentations that were previously available online. They show:
"Huawei pitching how its technologies can help government authorities identify individuals by voice, monitor political individuals of interest, manage ideological reeducation and labor schedules for prisoners, and help retailers track shoppers using facial recognition."
Of course, Donald Trump already told us that, and he was roundly condemned for being hostile to our "trading partner China." And, predictably, Trump is never mentioned in the Post report. Big Media can never utter the words, "Trump was right" under any circumstances.
Trump banned the government's use of Huawei products and pressured U.S. allies in Europe to stop contracting with Huawei for their 5G rollout, which included NATO communications. There was incredible resistance, but now everyone is "shocked" to discover the Chinese are spying on us.
Yes, Huawei is deeply involved in communist China's surveillance state. But here's the bigger problem: There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Chinese companies involved in communist China's spying and spreading Beijing's influence around the world.
Sadly, Beijing's tentacles are still embedded in many U.S. universities, and far too many American businesses are in bed with them. These Chinese and American companies have high powered lobbyists, including former members of Congress from both parties, lobbying for them.
They have Wall Street bigwigs bragging without any shame or embarrassment about how they are investing in the communists who dream of replacing America as the world's leading power. And we have clueless governors begging to do business with communist China.
There is no greater corruption in America today than the people doing business with a genocidal regime that is today's equivalent of Nazi Germany.
During World War II, many French citizens accepted the German occupation. They collaborated with the Nazis, and some French women went so far as to sleep with German soldiers. They accepted "the new normal."
But when the Germans lost the war, many of those French citizens were driven out of the country. I believe we are at war with communist China right now. But our elites are too stupid to understand how Beijing is waging this conflict.
If we are able to prevail, I hope there is a reckoning for the politicians and corporate leaders who got into bed with Beijing, believing China was the future. And, yes, I'm talking about you too, Rep. Eric Swalwell!
