The Resistance
For those of you who invest in the stock market, Barron’s is a weekly financial newspaper and can be a useful resource. It’s part of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, along with Fox News, the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. I bring it up because Barron’s increasingly sounds like a left-wing rag.
An item on their website this morning was headlined, “Who Is Pam Bondi. . . What To Know About The Former Florida Attorney General.” What Barron’s thought was really important for you to know is that she is the Chair of the Center for Litigation at the America First Policy Institute – drum roll – “a right-wing group,” as Barron’s put it.
Notice that the word conservative is almost never used now, unless it’s applied to an establishment Republican sellout. That individual is then held up as a “true conservative.”
Everyone else who is fighting to save the country is a “right-wing politician.” Or in the case of an organization advocating for policies that put America first, it’s a “right-wing group.”
It’s all part of the left’s ongoing effort to marginalize populist conservatives and make it difficult, if not impossible, for us to be treated fairly, to serve in government, to speak out publicly, etc., etc.
The Barron’s article also went on to note that Bondi owns stock in the publicly traded Trump Media and Technology Group. So what? She’s been out of public office for several years. As a private citizen, she is allowed to invest in anything she wants.
I can’t remember whether Barron’s investigated Nancy Pelosi’s incredible stock market success over the years. Her timing to buy and sell has been amazing. Insider information?
