Not Following The Rules

The Biden White House and the Washington Post are going nuts that Donald Trump is not following the traditional rules of presidential transitions. Here’s how the Post put it:

“Since his victory, Trump has ignored many of the rules and practices intended to guide a seamless transfer of power. . . Instead, the president-elect . . . has so far almost fully cut out the government agencies his predecessors have relied on to take charge of the federal government.”

The article whines about the fact that the Trump transition team has not signed agreements with the General Services Administration (GSA), has not involved the State Department in his calls with foreign leaders, and is not using the FBI for background checks on cabinet nominees.

Do they think Donald Trump is an idiot? He would have to be an idiot to think that things should be done the way they have always been done.

Trump is not using the GSA because it spied on him during the first transition and may have even set him up after the Biden transition.

When presidents call foreign leaders or when foreign leaders call presidents, there are always a few people on the phone from the State Department, the National Security Agency, and perhaps other three-letter agencies. Trump was told these calls were absolutely private, protected at the highest level of security.

His calls were leaked and used to impeach him. President Trump couldn’t make a phone call without elements of the Deep State defying the will of the people and trying to take him down.

The FBI is corrupt. We know that. Even as far back as the Reagan administration, the FBI was already being politicized when it came to background checks. I know from personal experience.

Don’t forget what the FBI did to Trump when he was taking office in 2017.

All the way up the chain of command, left-wing hacks embedded in the FBI made up a lie about Donald Trump being a “Russian asset.” They took that lie to the FISA courts, where they lied again, to monitor Trump and sabotage his presidency before it got started.

Don’t forget that fired FBI Director James Comey bragged about avoiding standard procedures when he sent FBI agents to the White House to entrap Michael Flynn before Flynn knew what the rules for interacting with the FBI were.

Now Trump is supposed to go to that agency and trust them to clear his nominees?

Democrats are demanding background checks to confirm Trump’s appointments. No Republican had better join them after what the FBI did to Trump and the millions of Americans who voted for him.

That some elements of the government are upset because Donald Trump isn’t doing things the “normal” way is a whole lot of – let’s just say chutzpah! They have been violating every norm of government for years.
