Lies & Cover-ups

The emergency 911 call from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s home in northern Virginia was just released. According to press reports, parts of the call were redacted, such as names and addresses.

But we know that one of Austin’s aides [name redacted] called 911 to have an ambulance sent to [address redacted] in northern Virginia and also asked if it could take [name redacted] to Walter Reed National Military Center in Maryland.

Of course, we know who the ambulance was for. Yet even now, they’re still acting like this is a top-secret situation with all these redactions.

But here’s the most damning revelation: The aide specifically asked the dispatcher that the ambulance “not show up with lights and sirens,” adding, “We’re trying to remain a little subtle.”

So, during this “crisis,” it’s clear that the secretary of defense and his team were trying to hide it from the American people.

We should not let this issue go.

There are laws and regulations that govern such vacancies for federal officials like the secretary of defense and even the president.

If the president goes in for a medical procedure that requires significant anesthesia, he asserts that he will be temporarily incapacitated and assigns the vice president to temporarily assume his duties as “acting president.” This is true for all cabinet officials.

Reports indicate that at some point, Austin did transfer some authority to the deputy defense secretary. But she was out of the country and wasn’t informed as to why it was happening.

So, while Joe Biden runs around screaming about “threats to democracy,” his administration is, once again, failing to comply with the legal requirements of our “democracy.”

And the cover-up continues to this day. To the best of my knowledge, the doctors who treated Austin have yet to answer any questions from the media. All we got was a brief written statement from the Pentagon. That is extraordinary. It’s not the way these things are handled.
