The left’s raw totalitarianism and weaponization of the law are on full display yet again. An Arizona grand jury just indicted 18 Trump supporters, including former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and John Eastman, a constitutional law professor.

This indictment comes in a state where the latest poll shows Trump leading by seven points. Sounds like election interference to me.

The left’s mantra, which even some at Fox News are repeating, is that we must accept the results of any election. But not being allowed to contest an election is not a trait of democracy. It is a trait of totalitarian societies that hold corrupt elections.

It’s communist China, Cuba, Iran, Russia, and Venezuela where you are not allowed to question election results.

Elections in America have been regularly contested. Radical leftists feverishly tried to get members of the Electoral College to overturn the results of the 2016 election.

In the 1960 election, Richard Nixon won Hawaii by 140 votes on the first count. When it was time for the state’s electors to meet and vote, it was still uncertain who won the state.

So, the electors pledged to Nixon met and cast their votes for Nixon, while the electors pledged to John F. Kennedy met separately and signed separate certificates casting their votes for Kennedy.

Nobody said, “You can’t do that, Kennedy!” Nobody was prosecuted.

Let me remind you that some on the left also planned to contest a loss in 2020. They actually war-gamed various outcomes.

In one scenario, with John Podesta acting as Joe Biden, they refused to accept a narrow loss. Then they persuaded several governors to send alternate slates of electors to the Electoral College, while the Left Coast states vowed to secede.

And, of course, leftists are already plotting to prevent Trump from taking office if he wins in November. In other words, while they work to put Trump in jail for challenging the election results in 2020, they are planning to challenge the results in 2024!

They never worry about inconsistency. They can change their narrative in a second.

For example, when the Supreme Court says, “No prayer in school,” “Abortion on demand,” and “Men can marry men,” the left insists that we follow and respect the court.

But when the court says, “Abortion isn’t in the Constitution” or “Christians can’t be forced to violate their faith,” those same people scream, “The Supreme Court is illegitimate! It should be ignored!”

Nobody cares that they are contradicting themselves, and they do it all the time.

Our future will be decided by who has the will to make America reflect their values. The left wants a “fundamentally transformed America,” and is willing to do virtually anything to achieve it.

We have an image of what America should be, but there is deep division within our ranks on strategy. Some say we must never use the tactics of the left in order to remain “principled conservatives.” In that case, history will write that we are simply “conservative losers” who surrendered “the last best hope of Earth.”
