Is Kamala Harris’ Liaison to Jews Hostile to Israel

Harris just selected her campaign liaison to the American Jewish community. His name is Ilan Goldenberg. His appointment is unlikely to ease fears about how hostile a Harris Administration would be toward Israel. Goldenberg has a long record of criticism of Israel and support for a Palestinian Islamic state that would be carved out of Judea/Samaria, as well as half of Jerusalem.

Goldenberg was an advisor to Harris on the Middle East before his selection for this new campaign role. He has long advocated for the U.S. to be more neutral between our historic Israeli ally and the Hamas-led Palestinians. He was a vocal critic of President Trump’s pro-Israel policies, particularly the relocation of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem. Goldenberg was a vocal supporter of the Iran nuclear deal which ended economic sanctions on Iran. 

Previously, Goldenberg was an advisor to Senator Elizabeth Warren, another vocally anti-Israel “progressive” in the Democrat party.

The Harris appointment of Goldenberg is consistent with other advisors she has put on her team who want American foreign policy to tilt away from Israel toward the Islamic Republic of Iran.
