He's Gaslighting You

Joe Biden's State of the Union address is best described as a "Gaslighting of the Union" address. Gaslighting is when you tell a person something completely untrue and make them feel like they're crazy for not believing you. And Biden definitely tried to gaslight you.

While discussing crime, Biden said, "The answer is not to Defund the police. The answer is to FUND the police." But he has undermined law enforcement his entire presidency. He has called law enforcement "systemically racist."

He thinks you don't know that all the big city mayors defunding the police and the liberal politicians pushing this radical agenda are in fact his political allies.

Who knows best who's on the side of the police? Well, that would be the police, and every major police union endorsed Trump over Biden. (Here and here.)

Look at where it matters.

His Department of Justice is at war with police departments all over the country. (Here, here and here.)
He's putting left-wing judges on the courts who will undermine the police.
His Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is soft on sex offenders and criminals generally.
He will not condemn the extremists in his party who not only don't want bail for serious crimes, but who are publicly calling for the emptying of our prisons.

Then he said, "We need to secure the border." I kept waiting for the punch line. There's never been an open border like Joe Biden's open border!

He has attacked Border Patrol agents for simply doing their jobs.
Hundreds of millions of dollars of steel is rusting in the desert because Biden refuses to build the wall to secure the border.
He'll send troops to defend Ukraine's borders, but he won't defend our borders.

And then he immediately demanded amnesty for millions of people who illegally entered the country, effectively inviting even more illegal aliens to walk across the border.

But the biggest gaslight of all was when Biden talked about the coronavirus. He said, "Let's stop looking at COVID-19 as a partisan dividing line. . . Let's stop seeing each other as enemies, and start seeing each other for who we really are: Fellow Americans."

Really? Biden has spent the past year constantly dividing us over the virus!

He said it was an "epidemic of the unvaccinated." That was obviously wrong! Plenty of vaccinated people got infected and spread the virus.
Biden tried to crush the unvaccinated, including many frontline heroes, by getting them fired from their jobs, crippling their ability to provide for their families.
When conservative governors opened their states months ago, Biden mocked them as "Neanderthals."
Joe Biden and the left directed more vitriol at our "Fellow Americans" than they have ever directed at communist China!
In fact, Biden was so determined to smash anyone who resisted COVID protocols that he ordered Justin Trudeau to smash the Freedom Convoy truckers in Canada.

I could go on with more examples of Biden insisting that your eyes and ears are lying to you. But you get the point.
