Disappointing Decision
Every year, the Supreme Court gets between 7,000 and 8,000 requests to hear cases. It accepts approximately 80 because that is all they can adjudicate in a court term. Four justices have to agree that a case is worth hearing. The overwhelming majority of cases are passed over.
That fact doesn’t make it any less disappointing that there were not four justices who thought a parental rights case from Wisconsin was worth hearing.
In this controversy, real parents and real children are being harmed by leftist teachers and ideologues, who are making decisions about a child’s “gender identity” without their parents having any right to be told.
This outrageous effort to hide vital information from parents is not limited to just one school district in Wisconsin. These anti-child, anti-parent, anti-science policies are in effect all across the country.
To me and to the parents impacted, this is an emergency!
I don’t want to speculate too much, but there is a major case pending now before the court on the transgender issue. Maybe they just didn’t want to take another one. But I certainly hope that the rejection of the Wisconsin case isn’t an indication of future outcomes in similar cases.
God bless Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh for wanting to take up this parental rights case. To Justices Roberts, Gorsuch, and Barrett: What’s up?
