Censoring History

Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech yesterday that raised a lot of eyebrows. 

While speaking on the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, Harris quoted from the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. She talked about the promise of liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as if happiness is obtained by destroying an innocent life.

But Harris omitted the Declaration’s promise that we are all endowed by our Creator with the unalienable right to life. 

Harris’s omission wasn’t a mistake or the result of sloppy speechwriting. It’s another example of the left editing the Declaration of Independence and censoring our history right before our eyes.

Barack Obama routinely omitted references to our Creator when he quoted the Declaration of Independence. Joe Biden couldn’t even remember the words. 

But the sad reality is that the American left is at war with the founding ideas of our constitutional Republic. America is built on the idea that freedom comes from God, not government. The founders believed that without the right to life all other rights are meaningless. 

This really is a big deal, my friends. Twisting the normal meaning of words and rewriting history are hallmarks of a totalitarian society.
