Biden’s Bribes

During yesterday’s White House press briefing, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre a simple question about Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan: “When you forgive debt, you're not just disappearing debt, so who is paying for this?” Not surprisingly, Jean-Pierre did not have a coherent answer. 

The simple truth is that the White House doesn’t want to tell the public what their legal justification is for this college welfare plan because it would only anger people even more.  

Evidently, they are claiming that the 2003 HEROES Act allows the president to waive hundreds of billions of dollars of student loan debt, even though the law was intended to provide relief for active-duty troops defending our country in combat overseas. 

To say this law applies to snowflakes who don’t understand basic contract law or the concept of personal responsibility is offensive to our veterans!

By the way, another liberal Obama economist blasted Biden’s student loan scheme for college-educated elites as “reckless.”

Meanwhile, several commentators are ripping Biden for having the audacity to call this “loan forgiveness.” It is clearly a campaign bribe, not to mention a huge kickback to hundreds of Biden Administration staffers.

If Biden had gone to the podium and said, “I’m going to send you a voucher for $10,000 that should arrive around November 1st to pay off your student loan debt,” everyone would see it for what it is – a payoff.

Believe it or not, the White House was actually considering a nearly identical idea to address Biden’s self-inflicted crisis of record gas prices. 

Several months ago, administration officials were in emergency meetings considering how they could send out debit cards for people to use at gas stations to offset what they were falsely calling “Putin’s price hike.”  It turned out to be too complicated. So, two weeks later, they decided to empty the Strategic Petroleum Reserve instead.

But here’s the bottom line: Leftists are using the Treasury of the United States, which only has the money it gets from you the taxpayer, just like they are using the oil reserves of the United States, to hand out benefits leading up to the election in the hope of bribing enough voters to hold onto power.
